Inspired Palettes

The Inspired Palettes feature for May will be Food!

Once a week I am going to show you, how you can take colour from every day foods and use them to create a suitable palette for your home!
This palette is bold with bright chartreuse, so not for the beiger's out there. It has been featured as Pantone's fashion colour palette of 2012.

Pistachio Icecream

I love the use of this colour paired with whites, greys and even yes beige!

Painting doors an unexpected colour gives a fun and cheeful effect to an overlooked everyday canvas.
Why have boring white doors when you can have fun with colour!

This is a dark sulty way dining room and features eclectic decor. By adding the pop of chartreuse on the dining chairs it creates a focal point for the eye to move around the table and therefor, around the room. Incorporating colour this way has braught this dining room from boring to BOLD.

Charteuse paired with neutral whites and pops of pink give a liveliness to this room. By using the bold colour for the drapery your eye is drawn up and creates a focal point highlighting the tall bright windows.

Whatever your decor challenge may be, adding pops of bold colour will highlight your homes very best features. Use this colour sparingly to create focus, without overtaking the senses.
